XStruthers Chapter 3105, AARP, will meet at 11 a.m. Aug. 18 at The Embassy in Youngstown. Harold Milligan will preside. Reservations must be made by Wednesday by sending checks to Laverne Cox, 241 Manor Ave., Struthers, Ohio 44471. Those attending are asked to take nonperishable items for the Food Pantry.
COITSVILLE
XA picnic will be held by Coitsville Seniors at 1 p.m. Aug. 19 at Willow Ranch in Coitsville Township. Members are reminded to take the dishes they have signed up for and table service.
GIRARD
XGirard Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the senior center. Musical entertainment will be presented by Delores DePetro. Members are asked to take small scissors and glue for the Emmanuel Center. Tickets will be available for the Aug. 25 corn roast at the center. The cost is $5.
GOLDEN PILLARS
XThe Golden Pillars will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Mary Assumption Social Center. A liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. prior to the meeting. Eleanor Hnat will preside, and bingo and cards will be played. Those attending are to take a place setting.

XJ.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bobby D's on Midlothian Boulevard.
LIBERTY
XLiberty Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church Hill United Methodist Church. Ella Hoagland will preside, and there will be poetry by Cyril Mattis. Hostesses will be Gladys Lindsay, Edith Thornton, Evelyn Proudfoot, Magna Roth and Marie Tahos. Members are to take a sack lunch; beverages will be provided. The following trips are planned: Oct. 2-3, "Mystery of the Mountains" tour to central Pennsylvania, $225 per person, twin room; Oct. 21 fall mystery tour, $58; Nov. 3, "Cats" at Carousel Dinner Theatre, $57; and Dec. 1, "Nutcracker" ballet at Playhouse Square, Cleveland, $81. XAn annual picnic will be held for the Retirees of United Steelworkers of America, Solidarity USA, Local 2243, Copperweld Steel Co., Wednesday at American Legion Post 699, 201 S. Leavitt Road S.W., Warren. A catered lunch will be served at 1 p.m. There will be a nominal fee for guests.

XBridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Jean Waters will lead devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch. Coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. XSt. Anthony Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Monsignor DeMarinus Hall. Lunch will be served. On the social committee will be Steve and Marian DeGenaro and John and Maryann Julian. Games. Bingo will be played, and birthdays and anniversaries will be observed. The trip Aug. 18 to Wheeling, W.Va., is now filled.
ST. BRENDAN
XSt. Brendan 60-Plus Seniors will meet at noon Monday in Maxwell Hall with Dorothy LaSasso presiding. Ann Banyots and Ann Smith will give reports. There will be a 50-50 drawing, and bingo and cards will be played. New members are welcome.
The cost for the September lunch will be $4.
ST. CASIMIR
XSt. Casey Seniors will meet at noon Tuesday in the church social hall with Jo Ann Jones presiding. Guest speaker will be Donna Whittaker, a representative of Forum Health. Lunch will be served. August birthdays will be recognized. There will be bingo and a 50-50 drawing. New members are welcome.

XSt. Christine Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gutman Hall with Harriett Moschella presiding. Jeanne Baechly and Mary Jo Theis will give reports. The social committee is Josephine Bengiveno, Phil Constantine, Diane Bertilacco and Elsie Gulas. Bingo and cards will be played.

XSt. Rose Senior Parishioners will meet for a corn and wiener roast at noon Thursday at the church hall. Members are asked to contribute $2 to defray the cost.
