Mercer co. grants

Volunteer fire departments
Ten volunteer fire departments in Mercer County have been awarded a total of more than $100,000 in state grant funds through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner. State Rep. Rod Wilt of Greenville, R-17th, announced the awards, saying that recipients can use the money for training, equipment and operational costs. Recipients are:
Greenville: $12,229.
Jackson Center: $12,172.
Mercer East End: $11,933.
Hempfield Township: $11,650.
Sheakleyville: $11,129.
Fredonia: $10,607.
Stoneboro: $10,257.
Jefferson: $10,106.
Sandy Lake: $9,560.
Jamestown: $9,266.
