FUND REQUESTS Sewer/water projects

Local municipalities want the federal government to share in the cost of two sanitary sewer projects and one fresh water plant project. A funding breakdown shows:

Sharon Sewage Treatment Plant.

Project cost: $25 million.

Grant request: $11,125,000.

Dean Dairy contribution: $1.25 million.

Local government cost: $12.6 million.

Hermitage/Jefferson Joint Sanitary Sewer.

Project cost: $7.6 million.

Grant request: $3.4 million.

Local government cost: $4.2 million.

Sharpsville Water Treatment Plant

Project cost: $3.5 million.

Grant request: $1.6 million.

Local government cost: $1.9 million.
