Game notes: The Penguins finished regular season play with three straight losses. They suffered a 75-69 loss to Illinois-Chicago in the season final last Saturday. The Penguins played well in their final two home games. YSU's last victory was an 80-74 overtime win against Butler in Indianapolis, which snapped a 10-game road losing streak. Sophomore Jen Perugini carries a streak of four straight double-doubles into the game. She has recorded eight on the season. Tonight's game is the play-in game for the Horizon League tournament between the No. 8 (YSU) and No. 9 (Butler) seeds. The winner gets to play No. 1 seed and No. 22 ranked UW-Green Bay on Thursday on the Phoenix home floor. Butler has lost four straight coming into tonight's game.
Series: The Penguins have never lost to the Bulldogs in four previous meetings. Twice this season the Penguins have beaten Butler, 72-69 at YSU and 80-74 in overtime at Butler.
