Foreclosure action on Belmont Ave.
LIBERTY -- Township administrator Patrick J. Ungaro has asked the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office to initiate foreclosure proceedings against owners of the former Ramada Inn property.
The property, according to county records, is owned by HSK Enterprises Inc., which has a Youngstown post office box. HSK owes $123,799 in property taxes at 4255 Belmont Ave.
Ungaro said HSK does not have a payment plan to catch up on the back taxes.
The name was changed to Belmont Inn & amp; Suites before it closed about a year ago.
Ungaro termed the building and acreage "a critical piece of real estate."
The township has initiated an effort to revitalize the Belmont Avenue corridor.
