Arrest: Police arrested a 52-year-old Girard man on a charge of failure to comply with a child-support order.
Auto theft: A 1987 Olds Cutlass Ciera was stolen from a residence in the 2900 block of Northview Boulevard.
Theft by deception: A man in the 10 block of Redfern Drive reported giving a man in his 20s a $206 check for three magazine subscriptions that were never delivered.
Assault: A woman in the 10 block of Ruth Court reported a neighbor grabbed her around the neck after she asked the man to keep his dog out of her yard.
Theft: A man reported someone removed a 3-by-12 exterior sign box from his rental property in the 3700 block of Belmont Avenue.
Identity theft: A woman in the 100 block of Mill Run Drive reported someone used her Social Security number to obtain a phone number, and that she received a $839.54 bill.
Criminal damaging: Someone shot several paintballs at the First Assembly of God Church, 6779 Belmont Ave., and damaged part of the building, as well as the paint on a vehicle parked nearby.
Arrest: While investigating a disturbance at Choice's Lounge, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, police arrested a 24-year-old Garrettsville man on a charge of disorderly conduct while intoxicated after an employee alleged he refused to leave the business. The man also was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of assault on a police officer after police say he fled and, when captured, struck one officer in the mouth and kicked another.
Theft: An employee at Rent-a-Center, 3551 Belmont Ave., reported a washing machine and dryer stolen from behind the business.
Theft: A woman reported her cellular phone stolen while she was at Choice's Lounge.
Arrest: A 27-year-old Wheatland, Pa., man surrendered to police and was charged with failure to secure a dangerous ordnance.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 23-year-old Girard man on a domestic-violence charge after his wife alleged he struck her in the mouth during an argument when she tried to leave in her vehicle. The victim had a swollen lip.
Robbery: An employee at Papa John's Pizza, 3175 Belmont Ave., reported hitting a car he said deliberately cut in front of his delivery vehicle on Logan Gate Road. The victim said a man got out of the car, held a knife to his arm and demanded money; the suspect stole $85.
Burglary: A woman called police to report her sister's apartment in the 200 block of Colonial Drive was burglarized. Two mink coats, a fur and leather coat were stolen.
Theft: A framed picture was missing from the Hubbard Municipal Building, 220 W. Liberty St.
Assault: An employee at Reed Middle School, 150 Hall Ave., reported a pupil assaulted a teacher.
Theft: A temporary tag was removed from a vehicle parked at Devine's Shop 'n' Save, 529 N. Main St.
Criminal damaging: A man reported his vehicle's back window was shattered while he was inside Frankie's Main Street Cafe, 368 N. Main St.
