Summary of police activity in Boardman and Poland:
Arrest: Police arrested a 17-year-old Boardman boy on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of tobacco under age 18 and possession of marijuana.
Assault: Police arrested a 23-year-old Youngstown man on a domestic-violence charge after a woman alleged he assaulted her at the Southern Park Mall food court. She had an injury on her lip and forehead.
Assault: A Ranier Trail man reported his former wife's husband assaulted him when the victim took his children to her residence in the 10 block of Homestead Drive.
Theft: A woman in the 5400 block of Southern Boulevard reported her wallet stolen.
Theft: Police arrested a 32-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman on a theft charge after a DVD/videocassette recorder player and a five-disc player were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: An employee at Chili's Grill and Bar, 7303 Market St., reported her purse missing from a coat rack.
Arrest: Police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Auto theft: A 1992 Chevy Cavalier was stolen from the Movies 8 parking lot, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrests: Police charged a 55-year-old Youngstown man and a 32-year-old North Lima woman with possession of drug paraphernalia after police say they found suspected marijuana and suspected crack cocaine in their possession.
Bad check: Police arrested a 20-year-old Campbell man and charged him with passing bad checks after an employee at The Jock Stop, 7344 Market St., alleged he wrote a check drawn on a closed account to pay for merchandise.
Criminal damage: A man in the 200 block of Boardman Boulevard reported someone knocked over his mailbox.
Assaults: Two women, ages 18 and 19, each reported being assaulted by the other in the 70 block of Lemans Drive.
Attempted auto theft: A Sharpsville, Pa., man reported someone tried to steal his GMC Jimmy sport-utility vehicle. A CD player, a pair of binoculars and $4.50 were missing from inside.
Theft: An employee at Consumers Ohio Water Co., 6650 South Ave., reported a $3,000 laptop computer stolen from his office.
Theft: An employee at Alltel, 7206 Market St., reported a man in his 30s took an installation kit from its package and left without paying for it.
Theft: A man tried to leave Dillard's department store in the Southern Park Mall without paying for two pairs of jeans and a coat.
Theft: A man left Kohl's department store, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying for a pair of tennis shoes, four pairs of jeans and two shirts.
Credit-card theft: A Campbell woman discovered her Visa card stolen and that it was used to make an undetermined number of fraudulent purchases.
Theft: A pair of jeans, three shirts and miscellaneous clothing were stolen from Kohl's.
Auto theft: A 1999 Nissan Altima was stolen from a carport in the 60 block of Alburn Drive.
Theft: Police arrested a 49-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after four silver and gold bracelets were stolen from Kaufmann's department store in the Southern Park Mall.
Auto theft: A 1988 Cadillac Seville was stolen from the Jillian's Entertainment parking lot in the Southern Park Mall.
Burglary: A woman in the 20 block of Southwoods Drive alleged a 25-year-old man broke into her apartment and stole a Nintendo GameCube and other Nintendo items.
Theft: A DVD player was taken from Wal-Mart.
Breaking and entering: An employee at Taylor Oldsmobile-Kia of Boardman, 8250 Market St., called police after discovering a vehicle was broken into. A DVD player and home entertainment center were removed.
Assault: An employee at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, reported a 55-year-old man assaulted her while she worked.
Theft/criminal damage: Four men forcibly opened a display case at Radio Shack, 7131 Tiffany Blvd., and removed five miniature TVs.
Auto theft: A 1990 Oldsmobile Delta 98 Regency was stolen from a residence in the 7300 block of Salinas Trail.
Theft: A woman in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue reported two cooking pots stolen from her vehicle.
Attempted auto theft: Someone damaged the driver's-side door lock and steering column while trying to steal a 1991 Cadillac Sedan Deville from the Value City parking lot, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 33-year-old Girard man on a theft charge after an employee at Office Max, 427 Boardman-Poland Road, alleged the worker made fraudulent returns and kept $1,277 worth of refunds.
Arrest: Police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown man on a robbery charge after a Giant Eagle employee alleged the man fought with him after he tried to detain the suspect, who was accused of stealing six packs of cigarettes. The man also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's driver's-side rear window and hatch, as well as its taillight and cover, were damaged while it was parked at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave. Also, police arrested a 13-year-old Boardman boy on a criminal damage charge after another vehicle had about $1,000 worth of damage to three of its windows.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 25-year-old Boardman man on a domestic-violence charge after his wife alleged he shoved her and knocked her down during an altercation at their residence in the 100 block of Clifton Drive.
Assault: A Struthers man reported a man in his 20s assaulted him.
Assault: A man reported an 81-year-old Boardman man was assaulted while he shopped at Giant Eagle.
Assault/theft: An Austintown woman reported a man in his late 20s struck her on the back of her head and stole her purse while she was in the Giant Eagle parking lot, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Assault: Police arrested a 12-year-old Boardman boy on an assault charge after a woman in the 300 block of West Midlothian Boulevard reported her son was assaulted when he got off a school bus.
Arrests: After pulling over a car near Southern Boulevard and Beechwood Avenue, police arrested a 46-year-old Youngstown man and charged him with aggravated menacing and theft. A 47-year-old Youngstown man was charged with two counts of aggravated menacing, and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business after officers say he had two suspected drug pipes, and that he provided false information about his identity during an investigation.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone tried to break into a residence in the 5400 block of Southern Boulevard and damaged a door jamb.
Burglary: A residence in the 5000 block of Southern Boulevard was burglarized and an envelope containing $200 was removed.
Auto theft: A 2000 Ford Escort was stolen from the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Arrest: Police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man and charged him with misuse of a credit card and receiving stolen property after a woman in the 7400 block of Becky Court reported her ATM card stolen and used to obtain money illegally.
Assault: A woman in the 3900 block of Risher Road reported being knocked to the floor several times during an altercation.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 34-year-old Boardman man on charges of domestic violence and resisting arrest after a woman in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court reported being a domestic-violence victim.
Arrest: A 28-year-old Boardman man was arrested at a residence in the 100 block of Shadyside Drive and charged with domestic violence and carrying a concealed weapon after police say they found a loaded pistol.
Arrest: Police arrested a 38-year-old Boardman man on a charge of illegal processing of drug documents after an employee at Walgreen's pharmacy, 7295 Market St., alleged he altered a Vicodin prescription.
Burglary: A man in the 5100 block of South Avenue reported his residence burglarized and a Sony PlayStation 2 game console, a GameCube and two Sony cordless telephones stolen.
Auto theft: A 1990 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the Gabriel Bros. parking lot, 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Attempted auto theft: Someone tried to steal a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Auto theft: A 1988 Pontiac Bonneville was stolen from the Kaufmann's parking lot.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 22-year-old New Springfield man on a domestic-violence charge after an employee at the Bull and Bear Tavern, 1247 Boardman-Poland Road, reported being a domestic violence victim.
Arrests: After going to the Travelers Inn, 6110 Market St., to serve a domestic violence warrant, police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of domestic violence. Also, a 21-year-old Youngstown woman and a 30-year-old Salem man were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse after police say they found suspected cocaine and suspected drug paraphernalia in their room; a 36-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with drug abuse. All four also were charged with obstructing official business after police say they provided false information.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle for running a red light, police arrested a 19-year-old Youngstown woman wanted on a warrant from Lorain County, charging her with felonious assault. She also was charged with falsification after police say she gave them false information about her identity.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle near U.S. Route 224 and state Route 616, police arrested a 22-year-old New Castle man on two outstanding warrants.
Arrest: After conducting a vehicle registration check, police arrested a 22-year-old New Castle woman wanted on two outstanding warrants.
