Hagan, trade groupoppose nonunion labor

YOUNGSTOWN -- Western Reserve Building and Constructions Trades Council and state Sen. Robert Hagan, D-33rd, scheduled a press conference this morning to oppose the use of nonunion labor in the dismantling of the former LTV seamless pipe mill on Wilson Avenue. Sherman International, a Pittsburgh equipment dealer, bought the idled plant during LTV's bankruptcy proceedings last year. Sherman has said 85 percent of the workers on the job are local.
