Poes celebrate 50th anniversary by renewing vows

XCANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Morrison Jim Poe, 9456 Youngstown-Salem Road, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their marriage vows during a reception Jan. 26 at Dino's Banquet Room in North Jackson. Hosts for the festivities were their daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Marcel McCree Jr. of Poland.

Other members of the family are Roger Poe of Beggs, Okla., Alan and Tina Poe of Charlotte, N.C., and seven grandchildren.

The former Violet Deane Workman and Mr. Poe were married Jan. 26, 1953, at Haven of Rest Chapel in Oakland, Md.

Mr. Poe served as a military policeman with the U.S. Army and is a retired teacher, having been employed in the Canfield Local School District. He and his wife are members of Youngstown Model T Club and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
