Game notes: The Penguins have struggled of late, losing four of their last five games. They dropped their last contest at Loyola 73-62 on Saturday and are fighting to stay out of the cellar in the Horizon League. Cleveland State has also lost four of its last five games including an 88-81 loss at UW-Milwaukee last Saturday. The Vikings only win in the last five games was against Butler 75-66 at Cleveland. Martin of Canfield will be making her third straight start for the Vikings. She is averaging 5 points a game and has played in every game this season.
Series: This will be the 38th meeting between the two teams with YSU holding a 26-11 advantage. The Vikings routed the Penguins in their first meeting this season in Cleveland, 81-44. The two teams split a year ago each winning at home. The Vikings won in Cleveland 80-71, while the Penguins won at Beeghly 82-74.
