Cavalier's replacement

CHICAGO -- General Motors Corp. will sell a new subcompact early next year. The Chevrolet Aveo, to be made in Korea at former Daewoo plants, will start at about $10,000, GM said Wednesday. Prices for the brand's lowest-priced model today, the Chevrolet Cavalier, start at about $14,000. A lower-priced car frees the company to take the Cavalier upmarket when the Aveo is introduced, GM said.
