LIBERTY Trustees meeting

At their meeting Monday, Liberty Township trustees:

Agreed to place a 1.5-mill police levy renewal on the May 6 primary election ballot for general operations. The tax generates about $304,000 annually.

Authorized MS Consultants Inc. of Youngstown to advertise for bids for the Belmont Avenue Sidewalk/Oasis Project, not to exceed $80,000. About $25,000 will be used to complete the sidewalk project in the Hampton Inn area and the balance for bus stops with benches and landscaping.

Approved buying three defibrillators for a total of $8,871. The will be placed in the administration building and Logan Way and Belmont Avenue fire stations.

Hired two people for the summer student park program from April through November. Mike Brown will be paid $7 hourly; Albert Pugh, $6.
