The Hubbard Board of Education took the following action Monday:
Awarded contracts to Jesse Hall, head baseball coach, $3,994; John Schiraldi, assistant baseball coach, $3,221; Ken Miller, head softball coach, $3,349; Karissa Hunkus, junior varsity softball coach, $2,577; Rod Greenamyer, head track coach, $3,607; Tammy Leskovec, assistant varsity track coach, $2,061; Trent Stubrich, Lora Merritt, David Gonder and Don Gosney, assistant varsity track coaches at half-salary, $1,031 each; Dorothy Arvin, middle school track coach, $2,705; Brian Vaupel, middle school track coach, $2,061.
Approved a resolution to participate in the Virtual Learning Academy administered by the Trumbull County Educational Service Center. The program provides an alternative to charter schools by allowing students to participate in their home school using Internet-based curriculum. The board agreed to pay the $1,500 licensure fee as well as the $100 software license fee per student and $300 instructional fee per student per course.
Accepted the resignation of Shelly Pishkur, effective Feb. 4, from the food service department.
