Published: Wed, February 12, 2003 @ 12:00 a.m.

SALEM -- A Salem teen was in critical condition after a weekend traffic accident.

Danielle Libb, 16, of Charlton Street, Lisbon, was driving a sport utility vehicle on Depot Road in Salem Township when she attempted to pass another vehicle and lost control, the Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Libb's vehicle went off the road, overturned and struck a tree.

Libb and her two passengers, John Guiler, 14, of Powell Street, and Brandon Quinn, 15, of Monroe Street, both in Salem, were taken to Salem Community Hospital after the crash, which occurred about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Guiler was taken from Salem to Cleveland Metro Hospital, where he was in critical condition this morning.

Quinn was admitted to Salem Community for observation. Libb was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Youngstown. A condition report on her was unavailable this morning.

No charges have been filed.
