Alliance rallies past struggling Salem

ALLIANCE -- Behind by a point at intermission, the Alliance High boys basketball team rallied for a 60-51 victory Saturday over Salem.

Bylynn Hatcher took scoring honors for Alliance (3-13) with 30 points. Austin Banks added 14.

Zac Grey and Joe Smith paced the Quakers (3-15) with 19 and 17 points, respectively.

Wellsville 65, Lisbon 55

LISBON -- Jared Mike scored 23 points for the Tigers (7-11), who collected 40 points in the second half.

Mike added 20 rebounds, five blocked shots and five assists.

Mike McDevitt collected 12 points and five rebounds, while Lucian Smith had 11 points and six assists for Lisbon (11-6).

Youngstown Christian 76,Compass Christian 41

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mike Vitullo scored 22 points while Themi Tsarnas added 19 with eight rebounds to pace Youngstown Christian (11-9) in a first-round game of the Association of Christian Schools International State basketball tournament at South Fieldhouse.

Matt Carnes scored 10 points to lead Compass Christian.
