The city's board of control approved these spending items Thursday:
Extending a contract with Compass Facility Management, the city's consultant on the proposed civic-center project, to May 15. That's the deadline for which the city expects to reach a deal with a project developer, FaulknerUSA.
A $3,200 fa & ccedil;ade renovation loan for the Drywall Barn at 817 Salt Springs Road.
A $159,331 addition to a contract for MS Consultants to do design, prepare construction contracts and bid the Orchard Meadow sewer overflow elimination project.
A $34,783 addition to a contract for MS Consultants for contract administration, construction inspection and material testing for construction of the Tod Avenue-Irving Place sanitary sewer and pump station.
A contract not to exceed $15,000 with WorkMed-Forum Health to provide drug and alcohol testing for workers who drive commercial vehicles.
A contract for $2,000 with Youngstown Radio Service to monitor construction of a tower erected by Alltel at Oakland Field. Alltel will reimburse the city for the cost.
