One coach leaves, another stays

One coach leaves,another stays
East Palestine football coach Brian Blevins announced Tuesday that he will leave the Bulldogs to return to Kettering Fairmont. Blevins, who led East Palestine to its first playoff appearance in school history last fall, coached at Fairmont for six years before coming to the Bulldogs. Fitch coach Carl Pelini, meanwhile, officially is staying put. Pelini had interviewed to be linebackers coach at Nebraska. The Cornhuskers hired Toledo defensive line coach Jimmy Williams. Pelini's brother, Bo, was hired as Nebraska's defensive coordinator this off-season.
Coach's namesake
A baby penguin at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has been named Tressel in honor of the Buckeyes coach. Zoo director Jerry Borin said that since Jim Tressel formerly coached the Youngstown State Penguins, the zoo "proudly named our newly-hatched Humboldt penguin after him."
