TRUMBULL COUNTY Career center offers computer classes

One class offers computer basics for people 55 and older.
LORDSTOWN -- The Trumbull Career and Technical Center's Adult Training Center is offering several new computer training programs this month.
EBay Fundamentals, Electronic Family Album and Build Your Own Computer and other classes, like Intro to Windows, Microsoft Publisher and QuickBooks 2000, offer participants the chance to learn more about a specific software program.
For people with no previous computer experience, TCTC offers a class in PC basics and for those older than 55 just getting into the computer age, Simply for Seniors, offers 16 hours of hands-on training in Word, Excel and Publisher.
Learning about eBay
EBay Fundamentals teaches students to register items, bid on merchandise, use credit cards securely and search eBay to determine market values for auction items.
The class is hands-on, so participants will be able to experience the eBay experience under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
Creating an Electronic Family Album is designed for people new to digital camera use. Participants will receive help in designing and laying out family or vacation scrapbooks.
Build Your Own Computer teaches students to build a computer from scratch.
At a cost of $575, participants will assemble a computer during eight hours of hands-on instruction and then take it home to use.
