In the foreground above, Kenny Emch, 6, and his grandfather, Vincent Parillo, both of Girard, anticipate their ride on a hot air balloon at the Boardman Rotary's Oktoberfest. At left, Sandy (Alex Balog, 85, of Boardman), an Aut Mori Grotto clown, helps Kristina Tudor, 3, of Canfield, clown around. The annual arts and crafts event, which attracts thousands, took place Sunday at Boardman Park.
