YOUNGSTOWN -- Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic was the honeymoon destination of Andrew Carl D'Apolito of Youngstown and his bride, the former Michele Lee D'Amico of Austintown, after their wedding Aug. 31 at St. Columba Cathedral.
Monsignor Lawrence Fye officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D'Amico of Austintown and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew D'Apolito of Boardman.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception held at the Lockwood House in Boardman.
Pink beaded flowers and silver beaded leaves adorned the bride's white satin gown fashioned with a long train. Her mother made her full veil accented with pink and silver beadwork.
The bride's sister, Shannon Kirila of Brookfield, was honor attendant. She wore a light-pink dress, as did the bridesmaids, Dawn Nadeja of Hubbard, also her sister, and Julie D'Apolito of Boardman, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Taylor and Morgan Bindas of Boardman, nieces of the groom.
Performing the duties of best man for his brother was Adam D'Apolito of Boardman. Groomsmen were Chris Luka of Boardman and Brian Brock of Leetonia. The bride's nephew, Michael Kirila of Brookfield, was ring bearer.
Mrs. D'Apolito is employed by Delphi Packard Electric Systems in Warren.
Her husband, who attended Youngstown State University, is employed by the city of Youngstown.
The newlyweds are living in Youngstown.
