ALLEGHENY (1-1) vs. WESTMINSTER (1-1)

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Burry Stadium, New Wilmington, Pa.

Scouting report: Westminster scored its first win of the season last week over Mansfield University, 24-21, on Josh Simpson's 25-yard field goal with 5:34 left. Simpson was named Special Teams Titan of the Week. Sophomore TB Scott Froelich rushed for 154 yards on 38 carries and two touchdowns of 15 and 25 yards, and was named Offensive Titan of the Week. Junior QB Kevin Huber (Newton Falls) connected on a 6-yard TD pass to junior WR Steve Scott. Junior receiver Brian Ekis (Boardman) had a team-best two receptions for 35 yards. Sophomore WR Ben Haug (Springfield) caught a pass for 34 yards, and also averaged 31.3 yards on four punt returns. Junior CB Mike Cubellis (Neshannock) had four solo tackles, one assist and one tackle for loss of 3 yards. Senior DB Joe Stern had two solo tackles, one assist, two pass breakups, one interception and one fumble recovery to be named Defensive Titan of the Week. Allegheny was idle last week.

MOUNT UNION (2-0, 1-0 OAC) vs. MUSKINGUM (1-1, 1-0 OAC)

When: 1:30 p.m.

Where: Mount Union Stadium, Alliance.

Scouting report: Mount Union slipped past Baldwin-Wallace last week, 28-21, to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 30 games. Mount Union is the defending NCAA Division III national and OAC champion. Muskingum blanked Heidelberg, 19-0, last week. The game matches coaches with Youngstown-area ties: Larry Kehres of Mount Union from Diamond and Jeff Heacock of Muskingum from West Branch High.

HIRAM (0-3, 0-0 NCAC)vs. OBERLIN (0-2, 0-0 NCAC)

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Dill Field, Oberlin.

Scouting report: Senior DB John Pascarella had a team-best 13 tackles, including four solo stops, in Hiram's 51-0 loss to the College of Mount St. Joseph last week. Pascarella now has 40 tackles for the season. Senior LB Brad Maguth had 10 tackles in the defeat to increase his season total to 42, which lead the team. Oberlin was a 39-11 victim against Case Western Reserve last week.

W & amp;J (1-0, 0-0 PAC)vs. THIEL (1-2, 0-0 PAC)

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Alumni Stadium, Greenville, Pa.

Scouting report: Thiel rallied from a 6-0 halftime deficit to roll past Bluffton, 37-6, last week for its first win of the year. Freshman Darious Thompson rushed for 100 yards on 21 carries, while junior Justin Napotnik (Sharpsville) added 78 yards on 11 carries and one TD. Sophomore QB Daryl Moore passed for 124 yards on 6-for-12 and one TD, a 59-yard connection to sophomore WR Shannon Alston. Sophomore DL Chris Minton was named PAC Defensive Player of the Week for making four solo tackles, including two for losses of 23 yards and one QB sack. Senior DB Jay Salman and sophomore DB Kennard Davis (Farrell) each had one interception. W & amp;J did not play last week.

GENEVA (2-1)vs. TRINITY INTERNATIONAL (2-1)

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Deerfield, Ill.

Scouting report: Geneva beat Olivet Nazarene, 45-14, last week. QB Ben Swallow (West Branch) completed 18 of 26 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns, including a 16-yard toss to Marko Thomas. The TD catch by Thomas was the 30th of his career to tie the school career record held by Mike Holaren (1995-98). Josh Mullen (Blackhawk) rushed for 115 yards, a 51-yard run to end the scoring. Trinity International lost last week to Malone, 41-7.

GROVE CITY (1-2, 0-0 PAC)vs. BETHANY (1-2, 0-0 PAC)

When: 1:30 p.m.

Where: Bethany Field, Bethany, W.Va.

Scouting report: Grove City is looking to rebound from a 37-14 loss to Defiance last week. Senior QB Todd Smargiasso (Wilmington Area) fired a 52-yard TD strike to junior SE Bo Danton. Bethany bowed to Wooster last week, 38-28. Senior QB Jeremy Lacaria set four school records: 31 pass completions, 65 attempts, 445 total yards and 88 total attempts.

SLIPPERY ROCK (2-1)vs. BLOOMSBURG (2-1)

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Redman Stadium, Bloomsburg, Pa.

Scouting report: Slippery Rock routed Fairmont State last week, 45-0, for its 100th win at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium. Bloomsburg romped last week over Lock Haven, 47-3.

WALSH (3-0) vs. ST. FRANCIS (Ill.) (1-1)

Where: Joliet, Ill.

Scouting report: Walsh is coming off a 16-10 win over Saint Xavier last Saturday. St. Francis beat Urbana, 33-17, last Saturday.

MALONE (2-0, 0-0 MSFA Mideast)vs. OLIVET NAZ. (0-2, 0-0 MSFA)

When: 1:30 p.m.

Where: Ward Field, Bourbonnais, Ill.

Scouting report: Malone rolled past Trinity International last Saturday, 41-7. Olivet Nazarene lost to Geneva last week, 45-14. Dan Hansen, a graduate of Hickory High and Olivet Nazarene, is in his first season as Malone's interim coach after serving two years as an assistant. Sophomore DB Mitch Fusek (Canfield) returned a fumble recovery 80 yards to a TD with 37 seconds left in the game to aid the Pioneers.
