Masters Tuxedo advises customers that it is closing

Published: Wed, September 25, 2002 @ 12:00 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Masters Tuxedo & amp; Dry Cleaning owners Mark and Delores Jacobson are closing all their stores this week, idling 22 employees. Mark Jacobson said the business has been losing money and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year.

He said the business is providing formal wear for weddings already scheduled this weekend and next, but it has advised other customers who have weddings and other events planned later next month that they must find another supplier.

The Austintown store on New Road was closed Monday, the Boardman store on Boardman-Poland Road will close Thursday, and the Youngstown store at 3600 Market St. will close at 6 p.m. Friday. All dry cleaning orders must be picked up by that time, Jacobson said.
