Poland defeats Salem; Badger shuts out Kennedy boys, 2-0

The Bulldogs are 4-1-1 in the MAC.

POLAND -- Junior Britt Davis had two goals to lead Poland High past Salem 6-0 in a Metro Athletic Conference girls soccer game Monday.

Sophomore Colleen Moran and seniors Natalie Ludt, Angela Cavalier and Dana Donchess had one goal apiece for the Bulldogs (7-1-1, 4-1-1 MAC).

Emily Loudon had 12 saves in goal for Salem (0-7-1, 0-4) while Poland goalie Landry Yankle had five saves.

Lakeview 6, Liberty 1

LIBERTY -- Junior Sarah Christner had four goals while seniors Claudia Omerod and Emma Starkey added one goal apiece for Lakeview (3-5-2).

Junior Britnni Humphries had the lone goal for Liberty (2-7).

Sarah Arbuckle, a junior, had five saves in goal for Lakeview while the Leopards stopped 14 shots.

Warren JFK 4, Warren Harding 1

WARREN -- Allie Hazboun, Lexie Polivka, Katie Piacquadio and Melissa Peterson scored goals for the Eagles (5-2-3).

Polivka, Hazboun and Jen Natale earned assists while JFK keeper Michelle Rossio made 10 saves.

Jessice Kenney scored Harding's goal on a free kick. Keeper Ashley Elder made 14 saves for the Raiders (1-9).

Champion 5, Girard 2

GIRARD -- Jamie Granata, Amanda Hayes, Carlie Dawson, Jenna Lee and Christa Anvamasaris all scored goals for the Golden Flashes (7-2-1, 4-1-1 Trumbull Athletic Conference).

Anvamasaris, Dawson and Christen Hernandez earned assists. Keeper Liz Wood made nine saves.

Jenny Sopkovich scored both of Girard's goals. Indians keeper Angela DiPiero made 15 saves.

Ursuline 3, Bristol 1

YOUNGSTOWN -- Junior Jessica Kausits, sophomore Tiffany Walsh and freshman Mariah Snyder scored the game's final three goals for Ursuline, after Amber Rasmussen's goal put Bristol ahead 1-0 before halftime.

Boys

WARREN -- Kyle Arnold scored twice as Badger blanked Warren JFK 2-0.

Josh Dagres made six saves for Badger (6-2-1).

Keeper Brian Cullivan made seven saves for JFK (0-11).

Lordstown 3, Columbiana 0

COLUMBIANA -- Dwayne Flenoury scored two goals and Jeff Harrison one for the Red Devils.

Beaver Local 5, Crestview 1

LISBON -- Shawn Dunn had four goals and Josh Dalrymple one goal for the winners (5-5-2). Jacob Pruitt had the lone goal for Crestview (8-2), which also beat Beaver Local earlier in the season 7-0.
