FORT MONROE, Va. -- Kathleen Ruth Cracroft and Lt. Russell Robert Evans were married at 3 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Chapel of the Centurion.
The bride is a daughter of Donald Cracroft of Salt Lake City and the late Helen Cracroft. Mr. Evans is a son of Russell and Vickie Evans, 150 Fifth Ave., Hubbard.
The Rev. Donald Dickens officiated, and a reception was held at the Fort Monroe Club.
The couple spent their honeymoon in London and Paris, and are living at 6 Jaybee Court, Fredericksburg, Va.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown fashioned with a sheer bodice trimmed with pearls and sequins. The cathedral train of organza featured lace medallions.
Vonetta Thomas of Virginia Beach, Va., was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Colleen Green of Salt Lake City, the bride's sister, and Jennifer Laycock of Westerville, the groom's sister. They wore navy-blue gowns.
Best man was Lt. James Dunbar of Washington, and groomsmen were Lt. Zoah Scheneman and Lt. Ty Britt, both of Norfolk, Va.
A summa cum laude graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, the bride is employed with the FBI in Virginia Beach.
Her husband graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. He is a lieutenant with the U.S. Navy in Dalgren, Va., where he is a teacher at Aegis Radar Training Center. He will be pursuing a master's degree in international affairs at George Washington University in January.
