Parking restricted for football games

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- City police are reminding residents not to park on the following streets during high school and youth football games:

UThe west side of Cunningham Avenue between Taylor and Lutton streets.

UNorth side of Division Street, between Cunningham and Pollack avenues.

UWest side of Monroe Street between Taylor Street and Division Avenue.

UThe east side of Dushane Street from Division Street to Superior Street and then from Superior to Taylor streets.

UOn the west side of Dushane Street from Division to Lutton streets.

UThe north side of Junior High Street between Dushane and East Washington streets.

UHazen Street, east side, from Junior High to Lutton streets.

Lt. Thomas Macri said motorists have been parking on both side of the streets, making it impossible for emergency vehicles to get through.

Parking tickets will be issued to those parked on the wrong sides of the roads.

Police do post no-parking signs on those streets, he said.
