ASSOCIATIONS

XThe Youngstown Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold a dinner meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Saxon Club, Meridian Road. The menu will be Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, corn, salad, rolls and coffee for $10.50. For reservations and cancellations call Peg Holibonich, (330) 757-9451. Newly elected committee chairmen will be introduced. Mary Ann Rushton, representative of the ABWA Network Council of Mahoning County, will summarize plans for the Fall Fashion Review scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex in Liberty. Luncheon tickets will be available for $18.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

XGirard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

XMcDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room, post office building. The group also will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the high school to view game films.

AUXILIARIES

XBrookfield Township Fireman's Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the fire hall.

XEagles Auxiliary 3298 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Hostesses will be Shirley Sabatka and Patty Sperati. Members should take items for the garage sale this month and the card party in October.

XTrumbull County Firefighters Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Post 47 in Warren.

XVFW 3307 Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home.

CLASSES

XWomen of East High School June Class of 1944 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bobby D's on Midlothian Boulevard. Lunch is held the third Tuesday of each month. All women class members are welcome.

CLUBS

XCasa Savoia will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson's. Hostesses will be Mary Sinesio, Georgia deMichele, Virginia Palotta and Josephine DeMatteo.

XCalon Lan Welsh Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Mary Lou Foht presiding. There will be a memorial service. Anyone interested in Welsh heritage is welcome. For information or reservations contact Esther Jean Towns, (330) 788-3474.

XCampbell/Coitsville Homemakers will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sycamore Place, Tremble Avenue, Campbell. Members are reminded to take glue, scissors, dark thread and a needle.

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet at noon Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church for lunch and a meeting. There will be a review of club procedures. Hostesses will be Pat Kirin and Evelyn Bosley.

XThat Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park. AIDS quilts are to be turned in to Kathy McElroy. Raffle tickets will be available from Mary Durkin. There will be a 50/50 raffle. Guests are welcome.

XCroatian Fraternal Lodge 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room, post office building, McDonald.

GUILDS

XHolborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Inn at the Canfield Fairgrounds. The program will be "Making Botanical Paper" by Tom Sturik, General Greenstore Industries. Hostesses will be Anne Peck, Kris Yelton, Margie Williams and Sue Miller.

LODGES

XSt. George Lodge 66, Croatian Fraternal Union, will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Croatian Home with John Seeco presiding.

POLITICAL CLUBS

XMahoning County Republican Party will hold a public picnic from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Shrine Club, 1735 W. South Range Road, Beaver Township. Those attending may take a covered dish or donate $10 per family. There will be activities for adults and children, area candidates will be attendance, and Lt. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XDiocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will hold its monthly Mass Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass at 10, then a coffee hour. The guild's quarterly meeting is set for 1 p.m. Thursday in Gutman Hall at St. Christine Church, Youngstown. There will be a program by Wild Birds Unlimited, and members of Sacred Heart Church Guild will serve as hostesses. The executive board will meet at 11 a.m. prior to the general meeting.

XMcDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

SERVICE CLUBS

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Little Peppino's Restaurant, 728 N. State St.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex, Liberty.

XVienna Kiwanis will hold a work party meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vienna Presbyterian Church, Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna Center.

SINGLES

XD.A.R.E. members will attend a dance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Choices in the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, Liberty. Cost is $4. On Tuesday there will be a walk at 6:30 p.m. from Dr. Shah's along the hike-bike trail, state Route 224, Boardman, and a small group meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. XGirard Herb Society will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Rayne Brubaker where there will be a garden tour, a talk on herbal vinegar-making and a white elephant auction. XThe Irish American Archival Society will hold a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at Chrystal's Restaurant, Youngstown. The anthology and oral history project will be discussed. Those interested in the preservation of Mahoning County Irish history may attend.

XMahoning County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Four Mile Run Christian Church, 701 N. Four Mile Run Road, Austintown. The Computer Interest group meeting will be at 6:30.

XMahoning Valley Rose Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Tyler Classroom at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center at Mill Creek Park. Warren Knopp, Richard Stromberg and Tim Yova will present a short program. Those attending are invited to take one rose to be evaluated by the speakers. Representatives from Family Services and Catholic Services as well as the counseling center will discuss specific programs and services available to the community. XGriefShare support series will be presented from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sundays, beginning this weekend at Bristolville United Methodist Church, Routes 45 and 88 in Bristolville. The Rev.
