Day of renewal
CANFIELD -- The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown will have a Charismatic Day of Renewal with the theme "Growing in Holiness" on Sept. 28 at the Ursuline Center. Prayer, praise, worship, talks, reconciliation and Mass will be offered, and lunch will be served. The keynote speaker is Peter Herbeck, vice president and director of Renewal Ministries, a lay organization devoted to international Catholic renewal and evangelization. He will speak on the topics "The Chosen Race: Holy By His Choice," "Royal Priesthood: Minister of Reconciliation" and "Holy Nation: Empowered Forever."

Singer to perform
HUBBARD -- Lowell Mason will appear at Corner House Christian Church at 7 p.m. Friday. He has been called the World's Smallest Gospel Singer because he is 46 inches tall.
