SIDELIGHTS For all seniors

MINERVA -- Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dickerhoof, 15916 Lisbon St., were honored by family and friends at a surprise party held Aug. 9 in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Ray and Lori Dickerhoof of Creston, Ted and Sherita Dickerhoof of Canton, and Rick and Darlene Claar of Niles. Also participating were their six grandchildren.
Married on Aug. 2, 1952, at North Jackson Federated Church, the Dickerhoofs are members of New Franklin United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Dickerhoof, the former Betty Minck, retired in 1994 from Carl's Super Store in Canton, where she was a clerk. She is a trustee at the church and a member of Women's United Methodist Church Society.
Mr. Dickerhoof was a superintendent with Canton Castings in Canton prior to retiring in 1990. He is chairman of the administration board at the church and a member of the Ruritans.
