Published authors to sign at Book Quest
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Greenville High School will hold Book Quest, a community book fair, on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The Writers' Roundtable, a writers group active in the area for more than 40 years, is hosting the event.
Elementary pupils throughout the area will submit their writings for inclusion in a booklet, which will be on sale at the fair.
Though the list of participants and special activities is not yet complete, Judy Christ, author of "Onions on Your Ice Cream," will give a 30-minute performance, and Linda Flannery, author of "The Power of the Put-Down," will appear in a costume guaranteed to delight.
Several writers with published books will be available to sign copies of their books. Roundtable members Karen Martin, Audrey Stallsmith, Florence Biros, Gloria Clover and Evelyn Minshull are among those offering books for sale. They have a total of more than 50 works of fiction and nonfiction. Poets Norman Dunkle and Andrew Stallsmith will also have books available.
Writers interested in bringing their books to Book Quest should contact Clover at (724) 253-2635, Stallsmith (724) 253-2737 or Biros at (724) 946-3343 for further information. Those not in the New Wilmington area may contact Biros at (800) 358-0777.
Some of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Greenville Public Library.
