BOARDMAN -- Linda L. Baun of Austintown and John R. Evans of Boardman were united in marriage Aug. 16 during a 7 p.m. ceremony that took place at Lockwood United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Sharon Carson presided at the wedding, and afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a dinner at Chrystal's Restaurant in Youngstown.

They have postponed their wedding trip to Las Vegas until fall and are living in Austintown.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Elsie Foster of Austintown and the late Harry Foster.

Parents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Evans.

The bride was escorted by her son, Chris Baun of Benson, N.C., and her daughter and honor attendant, Erica Creque of Henderson, Nev.

She wore a blush-colored lace sheath gown designed with long sleeves and a V-neckline and embellished with pearls and beading.

The groom's son, John Evans of Canfield, performed the duties of best man.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition and is a registered dietitian with Youngstown Area Community Action Council's Women, Infants and Children's Program.

The groom earned a bachelor's degree in engineering at YSU and is a memorialist with Rock of Ages in Youngstown.
