Dog show slated
TALLMADGE -- The Rubber City Kennel Club will be conducting an outdoor dog show next Sunday at the Summit County Fairgrounds, Howe Road. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon, and the fee is $5 per dog. Dogs will be judged in herding, hound, nonsporting, sporting, terrier, toy and working categories as well as obedience. Restaurants willremember Sept. 11
Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants will serve the less fortunate and emergency workers in their communities Monday in honor of "Civic Participation Week," which will commemorate Sept. 11 by honoring those who serve on Americans' behalf. Employees at Red Lobster in Boardman and Niles will serve lunch at the Sojourner House shelter for abused and homeless women. Employees from Red Lobster in Hermitage, Pa., will take lunch to the Ark House in Farrell, Pa., a transitional shelter for women and children.
Workers from the Niles Olive Garden plan to serve lunch and dinner to Niles police officers and firefighters. Employees from Boardman Olive Garden will serve lunch to firefighters at the Boardman department.
