GENENE WILSONSTEVE MATTERN
BOARDMAN -- A cruise to the Mexican Riviera followed the Aug. 31 wedding of Steve Mattern and his bride, the former Genene Wilson, both of 250 Wychwood Lane, Youngstown, who exchanged vows in the presence of the Rev. Dan Venglarik during a 1:30 ceremony at St. Charles Church.
A reception was held at St. Maron's Pavilion, Austintown.
The bride is a daughter of Donna Wilson, 18 N. Brockway Ave., and the late Gene Wilson. Parents of the groom are Joseph and Kathleen Mattern, 320 E. Auburndale Ave., Youngstown.
The bride's off-the-shoulder, A-line gown of organza was styled with a beaded bodice.
Heather Larch of Austintown was honor attendant. She wore a champagne-colored dress, as did the bridesmaids, Rose Forester of New Castle, Pa., the bride's cousin, and April Irilli of Youngstown. The groom's cousins, Desiree and Hannah Kulewsky of Lowellville, were flower girls.
Michael Dominick of Mount View, Calif., served as best man. Groomsmen were Alan Phipps of Austintown, the groom's cousin, and Jeff Wilush and Rich Williams, also of Austintown. Ring bearer was Jesse Kulewsky, Lowellville, his cousin.
The couple's daughter, Lauren Mattern of Youngstown, also participated.
Mrs. Mattern graduated from Ohio College of Massotherapy, Akron. She is the head server at Scacchetti's Steakhouse, Austintown.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a degree in accounting, Mr. Mattern is manager of Rent-A-Center in Calcutta.
