Physiology and anatomy
Beth Beidleman of Holliston, Mass., daughter of Marilyn Pipoly of Poland and Joseph Pipoly of Boardman, received a doctorate degree in applied physiology and anatomy from Boston University.
Beidleman, who works at the Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine in Natick, Mass., is a 1982 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. She has a bachelor's degree in engineering from Cornell University and a master's degree in exercise physiology from Springfield College.
Lori A. Muse, daughter of Larry and Sharyn McCrobie of Austintown, recently received her doctorate degree in human resource management from Auburn University.
Muse graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1986, received a degree in accounting from the University of Akron in 1991 and received her certification as a public accountant in 1992.
She worked for the Arthur Andersen accounting firm from 1991 to 1993 and for Auburn as a senior internal auditor from 1993 to 1997. She received a master of business administration degree from Auburn in 1997 and was a graduate teaching assistant at Auburn's business college in 1999.
She is an assistant professor at Western Michigan University. She and her husband, William V. Muse, have a daughter, Madelyn.
Ohio State University
David R. Messerly of Warren recently graduated with his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health.
He is the son of Robert and Lisbeth Messerly and a 1994 graduate of Howland High School. He is pursuing a residency in emergency medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
New York Law School
James E. Kimmel, formerly of Poland, has earned his juris doctorate degree from New York Law School in New York.
Kimmel, a son of James and Jean Kimmel of Poland, lives in New York and is associated with American Transit Insurance Corp. in Manhattan. He took the New York State bar examination in July.
Kimmel graduated in 1995 from Poland Seminary High School and earned his bachelor's degree in 1999 from Ohio State University, where he majored in political science.
