NEW SPRINGFIELD -- Fonderlac Country Club was the setting Aug. 21 as members of Country Lane Garden Club celebrated the organization's 40th anniversary.
Hostesses for the event were three of the group's charter members, Jean Doyle, Elinor Halliday and Dorris Niswander. Several past members also attended the celebration.
Karen Myers gave the invocation, and vocal entertainment was provided by Stena Buck.
Members had the opportunity to review the club's scrapbooks during a social hour prior to the dinner.
The club meets the third Wednesday of each month.
