Concert will raise funds to benefit ill Chaney graduate

CANFIELD -- A fund-raising concert will be from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday in Paradise United Church of Christ for Lori Reinman Schilling, who is suffering from a debilitating medical condition.
Schilling, who was raised on Youngstown's South Side and who graduated from Chaney High School, has been stricken with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis -- a progressive, ultimately fatal, disorder that causes severe respiratory compromise. She has been on supplemental oxygen for almost three years and is on the national donor list for a double-lung transplant.
Compounding her situation is the fact that her husband has lost his job and they have no medical benefits.
Many of her friends, family and co-workers are trying to help with her mounting expenses by having the benefit concert, which will feature Maureen Collins of Easy Street Productions and Shooting Star Karaoke. In addition, there will be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Food also will be provided.
Tickets may be purchased at the church, or by calling Joyce at (330) 788-8412, or Kelly at (330) 270-0395. The church is on the corner of New Buffalo and Calla roads.
