Golfers will scramble to raise funds for scholarships.
HUBBARD -- Deer Creek Golf Course has been chosen by Hubbard High School Alumni Association as the setting for a White and Blue 2002 Golf Classic to be held May 25.
Area golfers are invited to participate in the event, which will feature a four-person scramble beginning with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start.
The grand door prize will be a two-night stay for two, two rounds of golf and a dinner at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo. Also included will be a $600 voucher toward air fare.
Those competing also will have an opportunity to win a two-year lease on a 2002 Dodge Stratus by sinking a hole-in-one on No. 9.
Following completion of play there will be a banquet and a disc jockey will provide music.
Those interested may sign-up at the Village, Al's or Frankie's. For additional information call (330) 534-3504 or (330) 534-2562. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Hubbard Alumni Scholarship Fund.
