ASSOCIATIONS

XWarren Charter Chapter, American Business Women's Association, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Golden Gate Restaurant in Warren. Dinner will be from the menu. Election of officers will be held, and there will be a guest speaker. For reservations call (330) 898-7441.

XYo-Mah-O Chapter, International Association of Administrative Professionals, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Park Vista. Joan Battagline will preside, and Miriam Nogal will give the invocation. Election of officers will be held, and members will tour the facility. The 52nd Ohio Division annual meeting is set for May 17-19 at the Holiday Inn Eastgate in Cincinnati.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

XMcDonald Midget Football Association will meet at 7 p.m.

Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

AUXILIARIES

XK. of C. Ladies of Father Gallagher Council 3144 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ground Round in Boardman for the annual mother-daughter banquet. Madelyn Pedaline, chairman, will call for reservations. Alice Durda, Rose Minotti and Peg Simerlink are on the committee.

XK. of C. Ladies of Struthers will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Ground Round for a Mother's Day dinner. Shirley Burgham and Nancy Burns will be hostesses.

XPoland K-C Ettes will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Smaldino's Restaurant, 10046 Market St. Installation of officers will be held, and Harriet Budny and Wilma Bandsuch will serve as hostesses.

XSt. Elizabeth Health Center Auxiliary will hold a luncheon at noon Monday in the private dining room on the second floor. Joe Vizi of the Youngstown Health Department will speak. Plans will be completed for the annual flower sale scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 22 and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 23 at the Park Avenue entrance of the health center.

XStruthers Post 3538 Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the post. Members are to take a casserole or dessert and their own place setting. Dues for 2002 are now payable.

XTrumbull County Firefighters Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnston Fire Hall. A memorial service is planned.

XVFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will install officers at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the post home.

XYoungstown Eagles 213 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the aerie. Melva Day is chairman.

CLUBS

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at Shepherd of the Valley, Sharrott Road, Poland, for a noon lunch and meeting. The program will be "Our Own Special Founder's Day." Dorothy Hoover and Evelyn Bosley will be hostesses.

XFriends of Boardman Library will meet Monday for a social hour at 9:30 a.m. and business meeting at 10. Jessie McClain will speak on "The Holocaust." Guests are welcome.

XKent State University Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at the Olive Garden restaurant, Route 224, Boardman. A report will be given on the trip to KSU, and programs will be planned for 2002-03. The drawing for an afghan will be held; members should take their tickets and money. XMahoning Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at noon Tuesday at Poland United Methodist Church. Joanne Collier will preside, and Judge Maureen Cronin will present "Women in a Judicial Role." Election of officers will be held, and the invocation will be given by Peg Davis. Blanche Hillman will present the president general's report, and Isabel Wymer will give the national defense report.

XQuota International of Youngstown will hold a business meeting and installation of officers at 6 p.m. Monday in the craft room at Park Vista Center in Youngstown. Reservations are to be made to Donna Prim.

COUNCILS

XYoungstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnny's on East Midlothian Boulevard in Youngstown. The program will be "Preparing for the Unexpected" by Virginia Grilli of the Columbiana Red Cross. New members are welcome.

FRATERNAL GROUPS

XGirard Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Girard Free Library.

XMcDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

GUILDS

XWestern Reserve Knitting Guild will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park in Canfield. The program will be "Lace by Traci." Members have no homework.

LEAGUES

XJunior League of Youngstown will hold the final membership meeting of the year Tuesday at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park. There will be a 6:30 p.m. social and a dinner at 7. For more information call on the organization call (330) 743-3200.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XThe Catholic Women's Club of St. Rose Church, Girard, will hold an annual banquet Monday at McMenamy's in Niles. Officers will be installed and Barbara Melfi will be in charge.

XDiocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will recite the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday and attend the 10 a.m. Mass. Members of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Guild will host a coffee hour afterward.

XSt. Monica Guild of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday with Alice Rossi presiding. Mary Kotyk, Mary LaVaglio, Ann Leone, Diane Leone and Mary Leone will be hostesses. Plans will be made for the installation of members at 10 a.m. Mass on May 19 and a continental breakfast afterward.

SERVICE CLUBS

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Little Peppino's, 728 N. State St.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.

SINGLES

XMembers of D.A.R.E. have the following activities scheduled for next week: Sunday, dance at Choices in Liberty at 7:30 p.m., cost is $4; Tuesday, walking on the hike/bike trail on Route 224 in Boardman beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Dr. Shah's parking lot; and Thursday, general meeting at 7:30 including a lesson in barn dancing. XYoungstown Solo Parents will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday for a general meeting at Christ Church Presbyterian, 1933 Canfield Road. A birthday dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 6636 South Ave., Boardman, and a day trip to Hartville Flea Market and Restaurant is planned May 20. The group will leave from Penney's at the Austintown Plaza at 10 a.m.

SOCIETIES

XA dinner meeting of the American Society of Women Accountants will begin with registration at 5:30 p.m. and feature dinner at 6:15 Wednesday at Colonial Catering, Canfield. The speaker will be Greg Sherlock of Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce. XMahoning Valley Archaeological Society will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday at the community center in Boardman Township Park, state Route 224, Boardman.
