Michael E. Faber has received his doctor of chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Faber graduated first in his class with a GPA of 3.909 on a 4 point scale. As valedictorian, he was chosen by his class to give the class address. His speech was well received by the audience, and he received a standing ovation from his peers.
Dr. Faber received his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor of science in combined science in 1997. He and his wife Vicki have made their home in Austin, Texas, where he will be opening his practice.
Kimberly Jordan Burch, daughter of William and Karen Jordan, Silver Fox Drive, Boardman, has received her doctorate in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh.
A 1993 graduate of Boardman High School, where she was its valedictorian, Dr. Burch received her bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University in 1997, and master's degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999.
She is a member of the first class of University Scholars at YSU, and is married to Hal Burch, a doctoral candidate at Carnegie Mellon University.
She has accepted an assistant professor position at Montclair State University, Montclair, N.J. They will be living in New Jersey.
John Repasky of Pine Lake Road, Petersburg, has received his Eagle Scout award, Boy Scouting's highest honor. Repasky is a member of Troop 119, New Springfield. His scoutmaster is Mike Minamyer.
John's Eagle service project was to install a split-rail fence and perform other landscaping and maintenance work at Petersburg Presbyterian Church, of which he is a member.
John has been in Scouting since 1990 and received the Arrow of Light Award, Cub Scouting's highest honor, in 1996. He is Troop 119's senior patrol leader and also has had the offices of scribe, quartermaster and assistant senior patrol leader. He is a member of Order of the Arrow Wapashuwi Lodge 56.
