BOARDMAN PARK Campaign complaint

Published: Fri, May 3, 2002 @ 12:00 a.m.

These statements made by Boardman Citizens for Responsible Taxation are the focus of a complaint filed by campaign supporters with the Ohio Election Commission:

100 percent of Boardman residents will pay the levy.

Only about 10 percent of residents will use the facility.

The future of the Boardman schools is at stake with the passing of the park levy because the school district will be placing a levy on the November ballot.

Taxpayer money was not used in the construction of the Performing Arts Center at Boardman High School.

As property values increase, the tax will increase.
