WARREN -- The 23rd annual Chalk-on-the-Walk contest will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Courthouse Park downtown.
Children of all ages are invited to draw on the sidewalks for prizes from the Warren YWCA and local McDonald's restaurants.
The event is sponsored by the Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County and the YWCA as part of the Noon in the Park series.
The chalk is provided free by the Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority; Trumbull LifeLines; and John Purdue and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Reiger, operators of local McDonald's.

UIs the participant using design or subject matter as a vehicle of expression?
UHas the space been used to its full potential?
UIs there evidence of special techniques?
Ronald McDonald will perform a magic show at 12:30, then winners will be announced.
Competition is divided into six color-coded age groups: yellow, for children 2 years old and under; blue, 3 to 5; green, 6 to 8; orange, 9 to 11; red, 12 to 15; and purple, 16 and older.
