CHICAGO -- St. Michael Church in Old Town was the setting at noon June 22 for the wedding of Mary Beth Rusnak, daughter of Ronald Rusnak, 2650 Dogwood Drive, Youngstown, and the late Mary Jane Rusnak, and Geno Valente, son of Jack and Nancy Valente, 16574 Old Town Drive, Sesser, Ill.
The Rev. John Schmidt officiated, and a reception was held at the Westin Chicago River North.
The couple honeymooned in Miami and the Cayman Islands, and are living at 2939 N. Honore St.
The bride wore a diamond-white, strapless, sheath gown of silk crepe enhanced with beaded embroidery and fashioned with a sweep train.
Her sister, Carolyn Overbeeke, was matron of honor wearing a celadon gown. Flower girls were Corynn, Brieanne and Makenna Ozenghar, Natalie and Sidney Parks, and Amelia Rusnak, all nieces of the bride. They wore floral dresses.
Anthony Valente served as best man for his brother, and ushers were Gene Anderson, Chip Basso, Scott Burzynski, Adam Compton, Craig Garner, Brian Laur, Dr. Dan Massie and Jamie Veach. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Nicholas Valente.
Mrs. Valente was employed as a sales coordinator with National Car Rental in Arlington Heights, Ill., prior to her marriage.
Her husband holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Ill. He is a senior field-sales engineer with Altera Corp. in Schaumburg, Ill.
