Summary of police activity:

CANFIELD CITY

July 4

Theft: A resident of the 100 block of Talsman Drive reported three rings valued at $5,000 were stolen, including a platinum and diamond wedding ring, a gold and diamond engagement ring and an emerald and diamond ring.

July 6

Theft: An Ohio driver's license and $70 in cash were reported stolen from the purse of an 18-year-old Canfield woman who noticed the items were missing after attending several graduation parties.

July 9

Theft: A 60-year-old Youngstown man was caught by security personal in the parking lot of Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., by store security and later arrested by police for stealing 34 packs of cigarettes and two packages of grapes valued at more than $122.62.

AUSTINTOWN

July 8

Theft: An AM/FM CD player and compact discs were stolen from an auto in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A window was broken in a vehicle in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: Credit cards were reported stolen from Austinwoods Nursing Home, 4780 Kirk Road.

Attempted burglary: A window screen was cut in the 100 block of Howard Avenue.

Forgery: Money was reported taken from a victim's checking account at Second National Bank, 60 Ohltown Road.

Property damage: A vinyl fence was damaged in the 1000 block of Signature Place.

Drug offense: Two men were arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana in the 3000 block of South Meridian Road.

Warrant: A woman as arrested on a warrant for bad checks at Mahoning Avenue and North Navarre Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A window was broken in a vehicle at Patrick's Service, 58 N. Meridian Road.

Theft: Diesel fuel was reported stolen from Pilot Gas Station, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

July 9

Theft from auto: A window was broken and a purse stolen from a vehicle parked at The Gatsby, 54 Westchester Drive.

Criminal trespass: A woman was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass at the Rebel Truck lot, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.

Auto theft: A 1987 Cadillac was stolen from the 600 block of North Meridian Road.

Theft: A VHS tape was stolen by an ex-employee at Coates CarWash, 5243 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: Tools were taken from an unattached garage in the 3000 block of Crum Road.

Warrant: A man was arrested on a warrant for receiving stolen property by Boardman police.

Auto theft: A 1990 Cadillac was reported stolen in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

July 10

Drug offense: A summons was issued for the arrest of a man on drug charge on Oakwood Avenue.

Auto theft: A 1998 Ford Expedition was reported stolen from the 1000 block of North Meridian Road.

Theft: Money was reported stolen from a vehicle at Club 76, 5335 Seventy-Six Drive.

Assault: A man is accused of an assault in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Lost/stolen property: An Ohio license plate was reported missing from a vehicle at Greenwood Chevrolet, 4695 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated burglary: A man was arrested and charged in a burglary at Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.

July 11

Theft: A man and woman were arrested as suspects in thefts at Giant Eagle and Phar-Mor, 4755 Mahoning Ave..

Theft: A bank bag was stolen from Dollar Discount, 4761 Mahoning Ave.

Auto theft: A 1987 Camaro was stolen from The Lodge, 4831 Mahoning Ave.

July 12

Criminal damaging: A window was broken at Woodside Elementary School, 4105 Elmwood Ave.

Attempted auto theft: The steering column was peeled on a 1987 Chevrolet in the 4000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Burglary: Cash was reported stolen in a burglary in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: A man was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana in the 40 block of South Meridian Road.

Search warrant: Marijuana and related drug paraphernalia were seized in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Attempted breaking and entering: Thieves attempted to break in at Great Cuts, 4435 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A man was arrested and charged in a burglary in the 100 block of North Raccoon Road.

Auto theft: A 1994 GMC Jimmy was stolen from the 3000 block of LeHarps Road.

Auto theft: A 1995 Black Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from the 9000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Criminal damaging: The rear window of a vehicle was broken in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: A purse and cell phone were stolen from the 1000 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Criminal damaging: Fireworks damaged a vehicle in the 4000 block of Rita Avenue.

July 13

Criminal damage: A vehicle was hit by a bottle rocket in the 200 block of Forest Hill Drive.

Theft: A 2001, black, 8-foot hauling trailer was stolen from the 2000 block of South Turner Road.

Theft: A boy's 21-speed Giant mountain bike was stolen from the 4000 block of Falcon Drive.

Theft: Gasoline was reported stolen from the B.P. Gas Station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

July 14

Theft: Pop was reported stolen from Speedway gas station, 4401 Kirk Road.

Assault: A man was assaulted by another man at the Ice House Inn, 5576 Webb Road.

Theft: Cigarettes were taken from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A window was pried open and money taken from the 80 block of South Raccoon Road.

Criminal damage: Damage was reported to the vehicle's gas tank lid in the 90 block of North Navarre Avenue.

Theft: A cooler with unknown contents was stolen from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave..

Theft: $14 in gasoline was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Chains and binders were stolen from Card Transport, 80 Victoria Road.

Theft: A purse and its contents were stolen from the 800 block of Compass West.
