Little League District Tournament

(ages 11-12)

Canfield 3, Hubbard 2 -- Dom Rich's single preceded RBI doubles by Bryan Fox and Bobby Herberger. Jake Kucek added a RBI single for Canfield, which advance to the winner's bracket finale. Steve Schoenfeld tossed a six-hitter, striking out 10 batters. Cory Hitt led Hubbard's offense with two doubles. Mike Carnahan had two hits.

Austintown South 10, Lakeview 0 -- Nick Wiery went 4-for-4, hit for the cycle and pitched the shutout. Dom Drummond homered.

Austintown South 13, Struthers 3 -- Jimmy Kinnick had three hits including a three-run homer while Dom Drummond had two hits including a two-run homer. Danny Mathews went 3-for-3 for Struthers.

(ages 9-10)

Canfield 12, Trumbull Metro 0 -- A. J. Zorella threw a no-hitter, permitting just two walks. Joe Mikolay and Billy Fisher each had two hits while Danny Calai had a triple and a double.

Columbiana 16, Brookfield 5 -- Bryce Miner struck out seven in four innings of work while Ryan Sampson and Matt Douglas doubled. Vanca Venzeia doubled and tripled for Brookfield.

Boardman East 3, Poland 0.

Boardman West 12, Niles 1.

Lakeview 12, Struthers 10.

Juniors

Canfield 15, Boardman 14.

Seniors

Canfield 14, Boardman 6.

Mill Creek Tournament

(ages 11-12)

Canfield White 7, Canfield Red 5 -- Anthony Gromada had three hits and Bryan Fox two for the winners. For Red, Kevin Heagerty and Aaron Shields each had two hits.

Springfield Tournament

(ages 11-12)

Ingiomar 6, Canfield 5 -- Mike Ingiomar's bases-loaded hit knocked in the tying and winning runs. O'Neill, Justin Baumgartner and Alex Calder each had two hits. For Canfield, Bryan Fox homered and doubled. Dan Banna had two hits.

Tri-T Colt

(ages 15-16)

Struthers Daily Legal News 14, Struthers Davidson Becker 7 -- Jon Neider hit a grand slam, while Mike Dubos had two hits, including a double, for Daily Legal News. Adam Wolfgang, Jim Moody and Tom Peluso had two hits. Joel Lariccia had two hits, including a double, for Davidson Becker. Billy Bowes and David Bowes had two hits each and David Allen had a triple.

Senior League

(ages 15-16)

Brookfield 13, Canfield 12 -- Dave Stanish singled to drive in the tying and winning runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. Ryan Gladis and Andrew Browning pitched for Brookfield. Leading Brookfield's offense were Stanish, Browning, Greg Tanner, Dave Dillon, Ryan Logan and Robert Butler.

Brookfield 15, Boardman 5 -- Ryan Gladis' grand slam put the game away for Brookfield. Dave Dillon, Ryan Logan, Dave Stanish and Robert Butler also had key hits for Brookfield. For Boardman, Anthony Hondos, Matt Bestic, Tim Cunninsbar and Phillip Caplon led the offense.
