The project also includes widening Route 45 to five lanes from Folsom/Home to north of State Road to accommodate two through lanes in each direction and a center left-turn lane/two-way left turn lane.
Route 45 also would be widened to six lanes for about 600 feet to provide a northbound right-turn lane at Educational Highway. Folsom Street's approach would be widened to Route 45 to accommodate a center left-turn lane and State Road's approach would be widened to Route 45 to accommodate a right-turn lane.
Additional improvements include resurfacing, drainage system improvements with curbs and gutters, traffic signal upgrades, access management measures, pavement markings, signing and several intersection improvements.
