YOUNGSTOWN -- Sharon Rene & eacute; Hill-Staples, Atlanta, and Carl Wendell Robinson, Amherst, Va., formerly of Youngstown, exchanged marriage vows at 3 p.m. June 29 before the Revs. Michael Harrison and David Robinson at Union Baptist Church.
Their parents are Owens and Ruby Hill, Chicago, and Raymond and Imogene Hiawatha Robinson, Phenix, Va.
Australian crystals and pearls accented the bride's satin gown.
A reception was at Roma Manor, Hubbard. They live in Amherst.
Honor attendants were Eugenia Robinson-Green and Sabiena Foster. Bridesmaids were Kimberly Taylor, Christine Brown, Marian Murphey, Tiffany Ross and Tiffany Johnson. They wore honeydew-green dresses. Christin Staples, Monet Taylor, Melanie Green and Constance Tillman were junior attendants and Alexis Ross and TiAysia Love, flower girls.
Best men were Vernon Parrish and Frank Williams. Groomsmen were Johnny Barnett, Carlton Fredericks, Darren Hall Sr., Keith Hall, James Robinson and Carlton L. Staples. Brian Jones Jr. and Dustin Reese were junior groomsmen and Darren Hall II and William Reese, ring bearers. Antwane Johnson, Jarus Johnson and Brian Jones Sr. were ushers and Saqan Ogeltree, junior usher.
Mrs. Robinson graduated from Alabama State University. She was a teacher and distant-learning coordinator with DeKalb County School Systems, Decatur, Ga., prior to her marriage.
The groom attended Ashland College and was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a technical processor operator and supervisor with Glad Corp., Amherst.
