Man arrested, turned over to Niles police

NILES -- A Mineral Ridge man was arrested in Austintown, then turned over to the Niles Police Department. He was arrested on charges of theft on allegations of stealing sunglasses from a store, but he was previously wanted by the Niles Police Department.

Ted Dodrill, 46, of Omalia Drive, was arraigned Friday morning in Niles on the felonies of rape and burglary. His bond was set at $25,000.

A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday at 9 a.m. with Judge Thomas Townley.
