FAREWELL TO A LEGEND: Hall of Famer Ted Williams, baseball's last .400 hitter, hit 521 home runs during a career with the Boston Red Sox that was interrupted by military service and injuries. Williams died of cardiac arrest Friday at a Florida hospital. He was 83.
