MERCER, Pa. -- The weeklong 38th annual Mercer County Grange Fair on Pa. Route 58, east of Mercer, offers something for almost everyone.
Opening ceremonies, including presentation of the colors by Vietnam veterans, will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
The fair, which is dedicated to the men and women of the armed services, runs through the evening of July 13.
Highlights of the fair, a nonalcoholic event featuring nightly entertainment, will include the Earthquakers Rock 'n' Roll Variety Show at 8 p.m. July 10 and the fair's first-ever American Tractor Pull Association sanctioned pull at 7 p.m. July 12.
Fairgoers can enjoy a pig roast beginning at 4 p.m. Monday, with chicken, braised steak, ham and roast beef being offered Tuesday through July 13.
Featured will be farm animal exhibits, an antique farm equipment display, rides, Afghan and quilt exhibits, baking and canning, art and photography contests and fireworks the evening of July 13.
