LISA DAVIAERIC RUBENSTEIN
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Lisa M. DaVia of Grove City became the bride of Eric Meyer Rubenstein, also of Grove City, in a ceremony June 1 at Harbison Chapel on the campus at Grove City College.
The Revs. James Mashburn and Daniel Houck officiated at the 11:30 a.m. service for the daughter of Harold and Kathy DaVia of Plainsfield, Ind., and the son of Vic and Carolyn Rubenstein, 2112 Arms Drive, Liberty Township.
The newlyweds received guests during a reception at New Castle Country Club, New Castle, Pa., then left for a honeymoon to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. They live in Grove City.
Mrs. Rubenstein is pursuing a degree in elementary education at Grove City College.
Her husband graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in molecular biology from Grove City. He will attend the University of Pittsburgh to pursue a doctorate in biomedical sciences.
Schiffli-embroidered organza encrusted with seed pearls and silver overlaid a raised, slim-strapped bodice of the bride's gown, also designed with front and back inverted-pleat panels and a cathedral-length train.
The bride's sister, Sara DaVia, was honor attendant and wore a sky-blue and lilac dress, as did the bridesmaids, Kim Rubenstein, the groom's sister, and Stephanie Kinser and Christine Litwa.
Serving as best man for his brother was Mark Rubenstein. Groomsmen were Keith Rubenstein, the groom's brother, and Thomas Smith, Lucas Franklin, Jonathan Graeser, Robert Morris and Russell Parker.
