American Indian event

AUSTINTOWN -- An American Indian powwow to honor U.S. military veterans will be Friday through Sunday at Austintown Fitch High School. The three-day event is sponsored by Soaring Hawk Village & amp; Cultural Society. Gates open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m., with the Grand Entry at noon. Activities include American Indian dancing, food and vending booths. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children under 13. Kids under 8 years old are free.

Concert before parade

WARREN -- Singing for the LORD Ministries will present "Celebrating America's Independence" with Jan Markowitz on Thursday in Howland. The concert begins at 9 a.m., one hour before the July Fourth parade, at 8703 E. Market St.
